Malcolm was forcibly taken at the age of 6 and was moved to Adelaide.

In 1978 he returned to Alice Springs where he was reunited with his family.

Malcolm was initiated and taught the traditional secret ceremonies, dances and stories of his Warlpiri Tribe.

He started painting in 1983 and held several exhibitions, including overseas. His Dreaming includes Seven Sisters, Rock Kangaroo, Milky Way, Bush Tomato and Bush Potato.
