Thompson Yulidjirri was a senior Oenpelli, Arnhem Land artist who mentored younger and emerging artists

His work is held in major art galleries as well as Kluge-Ruhe collection of the University of Virginia.

He helped choreograph a dance that was performed at 2000 Olympic Opening Ceremony in Sydney.
