- 'Geoffrey Bardon was born in Sydney in 1940 and studied law at Sydney University and art at the National Art School. He taught art at varies NSW schools before taking up a posting to Papunya in the NT in 1971. He made three documentary films and written numerous articles on the art and artists he came to know so well at Papunya.Geoffrey Bardon was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 1988 for his service to the preservation and development of traditional Aboriginal art forms.'
